Coating to Reduce Heat Transfer through Glass Receives Funding

According to an online report, the Oregon Built Environment & Sustainable Technologies Center (Oregon BEST) has provided $150,000 to a number of universities and private businesses to study the application of low-emissivity coating, which may save millions in indoor lighting costs.

In addition to reducing heat transfer through glass, the coating also cuts infrared light and allows more visible light to enter buildings.
