Posted By Tom Herron, National Fenestration Rating Council, Thursday, September 25, 2014

NFRC’s board unanimously approved a motion to implement WINDOW7/THERM7 for all certification purposes.

It will take effect on January 1, 2015.

The motion established April 1, 2015 as the sunset date for WINDOW6/THERM6.

It will also allow labs to use W7/T7 under the guidelines stated in Technical Bulletin 2014-05 prior to January 1, 2015 on more than three product lines with staff pre-approval.
