This workshop is intended for those seeking certification for computer modeling in accordance with NFRC procedures for determining fenestration product U-factors, Solar Heat Gain Coefficients (SHGC), Visible Transmittance (VT), and Condensation Resistance/Condensation Index, using WINDOW and THERM computer programs. Simulation of fenestration products with shading systems (complex glazings) is included in the training. This course will be held online in a virtual environment.

We will email course documents after you have registered. This workshop requires knowledge of WINDOW & THERM but you do not have to be proficient. The training is an in depth review of these programs by solving interactive problems, as well as a review of the NFRC accredited laboratory and certified simulator requirements. Training materials will be provided prior to the workshop date.
The workshop is planned for 6 days, concluding on Monday, November 8, with the in-class exam.
WORKSHOP REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday, October 22. The course instructor is Dennis Anderson, senior manager, program, who has been simulating fenestration products since 1993. Dennis has been with NFRC and conducting certified simulator workshops for more than nine years. A LEAFF Certified Simulator himself, Dennis has taught certified simulators globally and leads the task that evaluates the software programs used for NFRC certification.
