Join this session to learn about the fenestration requirements within the 2020 NGBS, as well as the opportunities for windows and doors to become NGBS Green Certified and distinguished from competitors The ICC-700 National Green Building Standard (NGBS) has become the leading green building certification for residential buildings, because it offers a flexible, rigorous, and affordable rating system. Home Innovation Research Labs’ NGBS Green Certification program boosts nearly 300,000 certified homes and apartments, and over 160,000 homes are in-process to earn certification. ANSI recently approved the 2020 NGBS version, the fourth version to date, with an expanded scope that applied to mixed-use buildings, assisted living facilities, hotels, dormitories, and more.  | Cindy Wasser, MBA Senior Manager, Green Building Programs Home Innovation Research Labs In this role, she provides strategic support to the NGBS Green Certification program, and her efforts have contributed to the program becoming the leading green building certification program for residential construction. Cindy leads the development of new program features and tools that are utilized by verifiers and developers seeking green certification. In 2020, Cindy was recognized by Professional Builder magazine as a 40-under-40 rising star in the homebuilding industry. |
