Additional Information
This workshop is intended for those seeking certification for computer modeling in accordance with NFRC procedures for determining fenestration product U-factors, Solar Heat Gain Coefficients (SHGC), Visible Transmittance (VT), and Condensation Resistance (CR), utilizing WINDOW 6 and THERM 6 computer programs.
In addition, with the implementation of the Component Modeling Approach(CMA) into the NFRC program for certifying commercial products on January 1, 2010, this workshop will also include limited training of THERM6 and CMAST (CMA Software Tool) so simulators know how to enter frame and spacer components into the CMAST libraries.
This workshop requires some knowledge of WINDOW6 & THERM6 for the training is an in-depth review of these programs by solving interactive problems, as well as a review of the NFRC accredited laboratory and certified simulator requirements. Training materials will be provided electronically via email or on a USB Drive on or before the workshop date.
