Sustainability Tour
NFRC
Offers Tour– Tuesday September 24th, 2013: The National
Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC)invites its Fall Membership Meeting
2013 attendees to take a tour of ASU, one of the nation’s leaders in
sustainable campus initiatives:
NFRC
attendees are invited to discover and explore some of the exciting
sustainability initiatives and projects located in and around Arizona State
University. This 1.5-mile walking tour will take us by LEED*-certified
buildings, solar installations, and a variety of examples that comprise the
integrated, university-wide approach to sustainability at ASU
This
walking tour will be led by Nicholas R. Brown, Ph.D the campus Director of
University Sustainability Practices, Global Institute of Sustainability. His
expertise lies in institutional sustainability; greenhouse gas emissions
management; energy conservation; renewable energy; natural resources
management; biodiversity conservation and he hopes to 'refenestrate' the ASU
campus and looks forward to meeting the expert fenestrators actively involved
in NFRC.
Tour
Details:
- All
registrants will meet at the front door of the Tempe Mission Palms at 5:45 p.m.
to head out on this walking tour.
- The
group will return to the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel by 7:15 approximately.
- Space
on the tour is limited – reservations are tentative until payment is received
and confirmed by NFRC.
- No
refunds will be provided after 9/20/2013 (unless tour is canceled by
NFRC for lack of minimum participants)
