Additional Information
This workshop is intended for those seeking certification for computer modeling in accordance with NFRC procedures for determining fenestration product U-factors, Solar Heat Gain Coefficients (SHGC), Visible Transmittance (VT), and Condensation Resistance (CR), utilizing WINDOW and THERM computer programs. Simulation of fenestration products with shading systems (complex glazings) is included in the training.
By registering for this workshop, you will also be required to attend a separate Webinar regarding the Component Modeling Approach (CMA) Program. This program was implemented for certifying commercial products on January 1, 2010, and requires training of THERM6 and CMAST (CMA Software Tool) so simulators know how to enter frame and spacer components into the CMAST libraries. The webinar will be schedule after the take-home exams fromall participants have been received.
This workshop requires knowledge of WINDOW & THERM but you do not have to be proficient. The training is an in-depth review of these programs by solving interactive problems, as well as a review of the NFRC accredited laboratory and certified simulator requirements. Training materials will be provided on a USB Drive on the workshop date.
