Task Groups: Solar Optical Perf Non Planar Trans Systems
Group Pages

Scope

Evaluate and consider methodologies for simulating angle-dependent solar-optical performance of multi-layer, non-planar, specular and diffuse transparent systems and devices, such as domed skylights, tubular daylighting devices, barrel vault skylights, etc. Make recommendation to the APC if some methodology could lead to the development of an accredited laboratory program, with certified simulators for such systems and devices in the future. (revised October 3, 2007)

This task group is seeking comment on a one-page RFP they have developed, titled "Non-Planar Skylight Ratings Using Computer Simulation." Please submit comments to Kevin Louder by August 13, 2018.
