Product Certification Management System (PCMS)

PCMS FAQ, Updates and Reported Issues

This new system has been designed to support NFRC in achieving ISO 17065 compliance for its Product Certification Program (PCP). The necessary rules for this accreditation are outlined in the 7000 series of documents, which are currently being developed.  Right now, this tool enables Labs and Inspection Agencies (IAs) to process new certifications for NFRC’s PCP as part of the ongoing Pilot Program.

In the future, participants will also be able to manage their product lines and company information directly through this system. For now, they should continue to use the Certified Product Directory (CPD) for managing all product lines.  Please note that only "New" submissions will be processed through this system at this time. Existing submissions will still be handled via the CPD.

CPD 2.0

The online NFRC Certified Products Directory (CPD) lists product lines and individual products selected by the manufacturer/responsible party for which certification authorization has been granted, and which can be searched by the public. Ratings for products that are labeled with the NFRC Temporary and Permanent Label, or products that are listed on an NFRC Label Certificate in accordance with NFRC requirements, are considered to be NFRC certified.

This page supports NFRC entities that are involved with the creation of product lines, such as: Simulation and Test Laboratories who submit data for approval; Inspection Agencies who review and publish the data; and NFRC Licensees for updating and monitoring their company and product information.

The online NFRC attachment Products Directory (APD) lists the certification authorization that has a been granted for applied films which are available for the public to search using the NFRC directory search engine.

Protocol and Issue Form

All requests for NFRC support of a Certified Products Database issue shall be submitted through the link below.

  • Such issues include, but are not limited to:
    • Uploading a simulation or test spreadsheet
    • Publishing data
    • Printing CARs
    • Exporting product line data
  • Documentation needed to support the issue (uploads, screenshots, etc) should be sent to support@nfrc.org.
