Obtain Optical Properties:

An Applied Film manufacturer must get the optical properties in the LBNL International Glazing Database and be NFRC approved in the IG Database prior to beginning the film product certification process. Go to the  Spectral Data Film Submission page to find more information and being that process.

Required Documents:

Below you will find the link the link to the NFRC store to remit the Non-Refundable Application Fee (credited toward future balance), as outlined in the NFRC 2025 Fee Schedule. After signing the agreement, you will have 12 months to complete the certification process. If the certification process is not completed within this timeframe, you will need to restart the process, including submitting a new application fee and license agreement.  

Upon Submitting the fee, you will receive two separate emails. The first email will serve as a receipt and confirmation of our payment. The second email will include a downloadable link for the NFRC License Agreement and instructions to guide you through online submission process. The online binder will contain the required documents for submission: the Sales Affidavit, the Responsible Party Data Sheet, and Schedule I.

NFRC must receive all required documentation through the online process for review prior to creating a record for your product line's data to be published in the CPD. Once the documents have been reviewed and approved for completeness a signed copy will be sent back to you via email, typically within 2-3 business days.
