The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) is offering U.S. fenestration manufacturers the opportunity to gain access to the energy efficiency and renewables market in South Africa through an information sharing program. The two-year-long program, launched by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) seeks to advance the fenestration industry by creating a bridge for U.S. manufacturers and other fenestration interests to access South Africa’s most developed, dynamic markets. The NFRC ANS Standards Committee and NFRC Board of Directors approved a plan to submit the three NFRC Documents that are referenced in International Code Council (ICC) Building Codes to the American National Standards Institute’s (ANSI) process. The public review and comment period is scheduled to run from May 2 – June 16, 2014.More details
