Please consider the posted summary page,Develop Reference Representative Solar Spectra for Solar Heat Gain Coefficient Calculations to Rate Fenestration in North America. This summary page will be discussed at the NFRC Spring Committee Week meeting during the Research Subcommittee. The NFRC Solar Spectrum Task Group developed this summary page to accomplish part of the scope shown below. If this summary page is approved at the meeting, a formal RFP will be developed for ballot at the Fall 2015 Membership Meeting.

To more accurately reflect the materials and technologies used in building current and futurewindows, doors, and skylights, the NFRC 101 Thermophysical Properties of Materials Task Group is interested in revising and adding materials and thermophysical property data to the generic materials listings in NFRC 101.

The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) is offering U.S. fenestration manufacturers the opportunity to gain access to the energy efficiency and renewables market in South Africa through an information sharing program. The two-year-long program, launched by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) seeks to advance the fenestration industry by creating a bridge for U.S. manufacturers and other fenestration interests to access South Africa’s most developed, dynamic markets. Please review the new release of NFRC 101: Procedure for Determining Thermophysical Properties of Materials for Use in NFRC-Approved Software Programs.
