NFRC Board Names Two New Directors, Reappoints Two Directors for Second Term
The National Fenestration Rating Council Board of Directors has named two new members to serve a three-year term and reappointed two directors to serve second terms. The NFRC Board of Directors provides vision, direction and strategic planning leadership for the organization and ensures that programs and policies are in place to support the NFRC mission.
NFRC's Tom Herron Appointed to Cool Roof Rating Council's Board of Directors
Tom Herron, NFRC’s Senior Director of Market Transformation, was recently appointed to the Cool Roof Rating Council’s (CRRC) Board of Directors as a General Interest Member.
He will serve the remainder of a term left open by an outgoing director and run for re-election in the summer of 2024.

NFRC Document Public Review from May 5 to June 19, 2023
The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) Board of Directors approved four NFRC documents which are now open for public review according to the American National Standards Institute’s (ANSI) process. The public review and comment period are scheduled to run from May 5 to June 19, 2023.
The four documents to be submitted for public review, comment, and the full ANSI consensus process are:
NFRC 100: Procedure for Determining Fenestration Product U-factors,
NFRC 200: Procedure for Determining Fenestration Product Solar Heat Gain Coefficient and Visible Transmittance at Normal Incidence,
NFRC 202: Procedure for Determining Translucent Fenestration Product Visible Transmittance at Normal Incidence, and
NFRC 500: Procedure for Determining Fenestration Product Condensation Index Ratings.
National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC), a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is an American National Standard Institute (ANSI) Accredited Standards Developer (ASD) and develops and administers comparative energy and related rating programs for fenestration products.

NFRC Report Captures Potential for Energy-Efficient Commercial Windows
With architects, builders, and manufacturers facing growing pressure to ensure that windows, doors, and skylights reduce energy use, the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) is releasing a report on the potential benefits of high-efficiency windows in commercial buildings.
NFRC establishes energy-performance ratings for windows, doors, and skylights, which are referred to as fenestration. The study, funded by NFRC and, in part, the U.S. Department of Energy and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, was conducted by research firm Guidehouse, to assess the opportunities for energy-efficient commercial fenestration on a national scale.

2021 Window Market Outlook, New Administration Changes for Fenestration
